Chapter Two

Michael awoke the following morning, soft light tumbling through the large windows. He stretched under the covers, his body deliciously sore from being used. He sat up in the bed and drew back the covers, seeing another set of china and silver set on the table in the corner. He wasn’t very hungry after the sumptuous meal he’d had before bed, so he picked at the foods there, knowing he’d be expected to eat some of it. Michael decided to wait a while to see if he was called for. Pacing the floor, visions of his night danced in his head, replayed in its entirety. It had been the best night of his life, and he couldn’t wait to see what came next. Couldn’t wait was the hard point there—he wanted to rush from the doors and go down to his master. Even if he only knelt at the man’s feet while he busied himself with other things, it would be enough. He was sure a man with a house as fine as this would be quite busy.

He looked at the opulent room around him, wondering what the master did to have such wealth. Michael knew so little about the man who’d claimed him; he’d rushed into the agreement without consideration. He was so desperate for the dominance in his life, who his master was wasn’t a concern.

It should have been. He should have asked questions, but even now he didn’t much care. His master had opened a new door for him and never at any point had he felt fearful of going too far or being hurt, outside of the pain he desired, of course.

After what had to be an hour, Michael was crawling the walls. He walked to the door and peeked out into the empty hallway. He assumed some of the other rooms on this floor were for Sam and Cara, but he was hesitant to look inside to check. He wandered down to the stairs and slowly padded down both sets to the main floor of the home.

The rooms he’d passed hadn’t been important the first two times he’d arrived at the house, so now, he looked them over more closely. Hardwood gleamed under soft recessed lighting in the dining room, and a massive table large enough to seat a dozen people at least stood sentinel in the space.
